Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations are developing dynamically in recent years.
According to news from elchi, President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
Emphasizing that five high-level visits have already been carried out since last year, the head of state noted: “This reflects the intensity of our political dialogue and our mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral relations”.
President Ilham Aliyev specifically highlighted the construction of a mosque in the city of Fuzuli at the initiative of the Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
“Last year, we jointly participated in laying its foundation. This gift from brotherly Turkmenistan to our country is another proof of the friendship and spiritual closeness of our peoples,” the head of state added.
