Vance Calls for Clarification on US Ambassador to Greece

US Vice President JD Vance has called for all circumstances to be clarified regarding the accusations made against the country’s ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle.

elchi reports that Vance told journalists this while commenting on allegations by Eric Deters, a political supporter of US President Donald Trump, that the diplomat demanded the repayment of a $100,000 credit card debt in exchange for access to meetings with representatives of the Trump administration.

“These are just accusations. I always say that we should not judge people in the court of public opinion. There are official courts for that,” the vice president noted.

Vance emphasized that he has known Guilfoyle for a long time and considers it unacceptable to conclude her guilt based solely on third-party statements or alleged correspondence.

“Let’s first clarify the facts and determine the truth. If something illegal has indeed happened, those responsible should be punished,” he added.

Earlier, Deters had accused Guilfoyle of offering to pay off a $100,000 credit card debt in exchange for access to high-ranking representatives of the Trump administration.
