4 Ukrainian citizens detained in Vienna on suspicion of espionage

This week, 4 Ukrainian citizens were detained in Vienna, the capital of Austria, on suspicion of espionage.

“Elchi” reports, citing “Reuters”, that this was announced by the Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner.

Among those detained were two employees of the editorial office of “Ukrainskaya pravda”.

According to the agency, two men detained on Monday are suspected of espionage in favor of the Ukrainian intelligence service and remain in custody during the investigation.

Meanwhile, a representative of the Ukrainian Embassy in Vienna stated that the diplomatic mission is awaiting explanations from the Austrian authorities regarding the circumstances and legal grounds for the detentions.
