Registration Opens for the 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad

The 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad will be held in Baku on December 9-10, 2026, with the aim of bringing together Azerbaijani scientists living abroad, expanding scientific ties, and discussing cooperation opportunities.

elchi reports that the Forum, organized by the World Union of Azerbaijani Scientists with the support of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Diaspora Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, is expected to be attended by over 100 Azerbaijani scientists living in foreign countries, as well as approximately 500 scientists, young doctoral students, and researchers representing the leading scientific and educational institutions of our country.

The main goal of the Forum is to strengthen the ties of Azerbaijani scientists operating in various countries with the scientific community of our country, to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, to expand scientific cooperation opportunities, to unite scientists living abroad in a single network, and to discuss the activities carried out after the 1st Forum and the projects and programs planned for the future.

On the second day of the Forum, meetings, scientific discussions, and master classes are planned to be held at individual universities in accordance with the fields of specialization of the scientists coming from abroad.

Azerbaijani scientists living and working abroad are requested to register via the link https://diaspor.gov.az/forum/ by October 20, 2026, to gain the right to participate in the Forum.

For your information, the 1st Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad was held in Baku on September 9-11, 2024. More than 80 Azerbaijani scientists from 23 countries around the world, as well as scientists and professors working in various scientific institutions of our country, and rectors of prestigious higher education institutions participated in the Forum.
