It was stated that this will be the first official visit of the Canadian Prime Minister to Turkey.
Carney and Erdoğan may discuss free trade talks, which began within the framework of the NATO summit held in Ankara in July, as well as prospects for cooperation in the fields of energy and defense.
In addition, the trade ministers of both countries have agreed to accelerate negotiations this week ahead of the leaders’ meeting.
