Putin’s Kaliningrad warning to the West: ‘We are ready to use all weapons’

Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling on the West to avoid escalating the conflict, stated that if Russia’s Baltic exclave of Kaliningrad is attacked, Moscow is ready to use its entire arsenal – including nuclear weapons.
elchi reports that speaking at a meeting of the “Valdai” International Discussion Club in Moscow, the Russian leader stated that there are no plans to attack any European country, but confirmed their readiness to respond to Western aggression if necessary. He specifically drew attention to Kaliningrad, a Russian territory located between NATO members Poland and Lithuania.
Warning regarding threats to Kaliningrad
Putin’s warning came after NATO defense exercises aimed at strengthening its deterrence capabilities near Kaliningrad.
These exercises had caused serious concern in Moscow; Russia had stated that it would respond if NATO attempted to blockade the region by air or sea.
Noting continuous exercises and attempts to detain ships in the Baltic Sea, Putin assessed these actions as an escalation of tension.
Putin warned that in the event of a direct attack on Kaliningrad, or potentially other regions, the use of the country’s entire arsenal would become an inevitable choice.
NATO, the UK, and some European countries accuse Russia of waging hybrid warfare, including cyberattacks, sabotage, and espionage activities, aimed at undermining support for Ukraine.
