An operation against the illegal drug trade was carried out by employees of the Main Drug Enforcement Department and the Sabunchu District Police Department.

It was stated that during the measure, previously convicted Sanan Mirzayev, suspected of drug couriering, and his female acquaintance were detained. A total of 22 kilograms and 540 grams of marijuana were discovered in their possession.
Investigations revealed that the detained individuals planned to obtain the drugs sent from Iran to Fuzuli district via an unmanned aerial vehicle, deliver them to various addresses in the capital, and organize their illegal circulation.
During another operation conducted by the Sabunchu District Police Department, previously convicted Valid Gurbanov, suspected of illegal drug trafficking, was detained in the Bakikhanov settlement. Nearly 7 kilograms of marijuana were found on him.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts, and investigations are ongoing.
It should be noted that a total of 281 kilograms of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances have been removed from illegal circulation during operations conducted by the Sabunchu District Police Department since the beginning of the current year.
