CENTCOM refutes Iran’s statements regarding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has refuted the latest statement by Iranian authorities regarding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the international waterway remains open for commercial shipping.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a CENTCOM announcement on the “X” social network.

“The Iranian government is once again claiming that the Strait of Hormuz is closed. This is false,” the US command emphasized.

CENTCOM noted that the Strait of Hormuz is open for the transit of commercial vessels, and Iran does not control this international water route.

According to the command, thousands of commercial vessels have passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the last four months.
