Ukraine has received a tranche of 3.47 billion euros from the European Commission (EC) as part of a 90 billion euro loan framework.

“Elchi” reports that EC President Ursula von der Leyen announced this on her “X” account.

“With this disbursement, we are helping Ukraine protect its skies and its people,” she wrote.

According to the head of the European Commission, the European Union and Kyiv are combining Europe’s industrial potential with Ukraine’s unique innovation capabilities.

Previously, it was reported that the European Union had committed to allocating 8.3 billion euros to Ukraine and had approved a set of strict requirements that Kyiv must meet to receive these funds by the end of the year. These requirements include reforms in the areas of the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
