The Iranian army has struck critical infrastructure facilities at the US Sheikh Isa Air Base located in Bahrain.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a press release from the Iranian army’s press service.
“As part of the twenty-sixth phase of the operation, the Iranian army’s strike drones hit power generators, navigation systems, as well as administrative and logistics buildings belonging to the US military at the Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain,” the statement noted.
The next escalation phase of the US-Iran conflict began on July 8. For the first time since the signing of a memorandum between Washington and Tehran, the US Armed Forces launched a series of strikes on Iranian territory. The reason cited for this was an alleged attack on a merchant ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
On the same day, US President Donald Trump announced that the ceasefire with Iran had been terminated. As part of retaliatory measures, Tehran began attacks on US facilities located in the territories of Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman.
On July 29, Trump stated that the US intends to continue strikes against Iran.
