Fuel sanctions against Iran have been lifted, and the country’s oil is currently being sold at a 20 percent higher price.
“Elchi” reports that the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated this in an interview.
“If America wants to fight, we are also good at fighting; if they deprive us of oil sales, no one will profit from oil,” he emphasized.
Ghalibaf did not rule out the possibility of the US violating the agreement. He stated that economic pressure must be lifted from the shoulders of the people:
“The final condition mentioned in the eleventh clause is the release of frozen funds, that is, twelve billion dollars.”
Ghalibaf also refuted the statement by US President Donald Trump that this money would only be used to purchase products from American farmers: “According to the memorandum of understanding, it is intended that 12 billion dollars of our 24 billion dollars in assets in various countries be placed at the disposal of the Central Bank. This means being able to buy any goods in the world at any price and with any currency. This is possible, and the process is being implemented.”
