A special conference will be held at Karabakh University during the Turkic World Week.

elchi reports that Deputy Minister of Culture Farid Jafarov stated this to journalists within the framework of the “Turkic World Week” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

He noted that the participation of well-known Turkologist scholars from various countries of the Turkic world is expected at that conference.

“Based on the relevant decree signed by the head of state, a joint action plan has been prepared by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. According to that plan, about a hundred various events are planned to be held throughout the year, and activities in this direction are already being carried out. In this context, it is planned to republish the transcript of the congress held in 1926, research the speeches of that period, study the scientific activities of 131 intellectuals, scholars, and Turkologists who participated in the congress, raise public awareness more broadly, and also prepare and present a special documentary film. I should note that at the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Turkistan this year, our head of state also provided information about holding this week and announced that the Turkic World Week would be organized in Azerbaijan starting from the end of June,” the deputy minister emphasized.
