USA and Iran reached an agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran announced that an agreement had been reached on the creation of a mechanism for the safe passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The spokesperson stated that the negotiation team had finished its work and that technical teams would continue their work, and announced that an agreement had been reached on the creation of a mechanism for the safe passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Although it was reported that preparations to begin negotiations for a final agreement were discussed, Qatar and Pakistan also announced in a joint statement that the first meeting of the high-level talks had concluded. The statement noted that the talks were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and that an agreement was reached to establish a high-level committee to ensure political oversight of the mediation process.
According to the statement, the chief negotiators will report to this committee regularly.
The committee has agreed on a roadmap that envisions reaching a final agreement within 60 days.
