2110 people held criminally liable for drug-related offenses this year

During the months of January-May, 2110 people were held criminally liable for illegal drug trafficking.

elchi reports that this was stated in the information provided by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs.

According to the report, as a result of complex operational-search measures carried out by law enforcement agencies in the field of combating drug addiction and illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, a total of 3766 criminal facts were detected. Of these, 890 were related to the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, 2841 to the illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic drugs, 33 to the illegal cultivation of drug-containing plants, and 2 to other crimes of this category.

It was noted that 2057 of them were men and 53 were women. Among the persons held criminally liable, 25 are foreign citizens.

A total of 156 kg 822.062 g and 974 pills of various types of narcotic drugs were seized from the 25 foreign citizens held liable.
