In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 7, 2026, “Baku Metropoliten” CJSC is being reorganized through the merger of “BakuBus” LLC and “Baku Taxi Service” LLC into it.

It was noted that the adopted decision is aimed at organizing management in the public transport sector in a more advanced manner, strengthening the mutual integration of services, and ensuring urban mobility more efficiently.
It was stated that within the framework of the reorganization process, it is planned to implement phased measures towards applying a unified and coordinated management model in the public transport system, increasing service quality, expanding digital solutions, and further enhancing passenger comfort.
“At the same time, it is planned to implement measures to further strengthen the integration between metro, bus, tram, and taxi services, develop public transport infrastructure in accordance with modern requirements, increase safety and efficiency in passenger transport services, as well as organize intra-city movement more comfortably and efficiently.
It should be noted that within the framework of the reorganization process, the continuity of services provided to passengers will be ensured, and operations along existing routes and services will continue.
The new charter and structure of the society will be approved by the Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding (AZCON) within three months in coordination with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the statement says.
