Yesterday, a presentation ceremony for the book titled “Investment Absorption of the Azerbaijani Economy” by renowned economist-expert Eldaniz Amirov was held at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
The event was attended by the rector of the University of Economics, members of parliament, heads of government agencies, economists and political experts, as well as representatives of the public and media.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of the “investment absorption” approach presented in the book, noting that it systematically analyzes which sectors of the Azerbaijani economy are ready to receive investments, in what volume, and their real capacity and absorption ability. It was stated that, unlike general theoretical approaches, the work was prepared directly as a practical guide for local and foreign investors.
It was highlighted by the speakers that the book allows investors to clearly identify investment opportunities across various sectors, existing state support mechanisms, and ways to utilize these opportunities, as well as to evaluate the prospective returns on capital investments.
It was noted that presenting the investment potential in industry, the agrarian sector, tourism, logistics, information technologies, and energy within a unified framework facilitates the investor’s decision-making process.
At the same time, the presentation of incentives applied in the liberated territories through the “Valley of Incentives” model was particularly emphasized.
It was stated that the book provides an analytical approach to macroeconomic stability, ongoing reforms, and the opportunities of the non-oil sector, and in this regard, the work is of practical importance for both investors and economic decision-makers.
