The parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, who is on a business trip to Istanbul, Turkey, attended the opening ceremony of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

At the event, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, IPU President Tulia Ackson, IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong, and UN Coordinator Babatunde Ahonsi delivered speeches, expressed their views on the relevance of the upcoming discussions, and wished success to the event.
At the assembly, which is dedicated to the theme “Strengthening hope, ensuring peace, and protecting justice for future generations,” initiatives aimed at further strengthening the activities of parliaments in this direction will be discussed, and opportunities for cooperation in this field will be reviewed.
