The National Library held an online meeting on the topic “Organization of modern library work in the libraries of the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions: innovative approaches and development perspectives”.
It was reported to elchi by the library that the main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the organization and management of modern library-information services in the libraries of the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions, and to ensure the effective use of information-communication technologies and automated library-information systems in library activities.
It also covered the expansion of the application possibilities of the Koha ILS, the automation of electronic catalogs and library collection management, the digitization of services provided to readers, as well as the sharing of existing work experience and future development perspectives.
During the online meeting, the importance of presenting information resources to users in a more flexible and accessible form, complementing traditional library services with electronic services, and automating library processes was emphasized.
During the discussions, an exchange of views took place regarding the coordination of various directions of library activity in a unified information environment, more efficient use of labor resources, the application of digital solutions in the management of library collections, and the improvement of the quality of services provided to users.
It should be noted that employees of the centralized library systems of Aghjabadi, Barda, Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan, and other centers included in these regions participated in the online meeting.
