The groups for the teams participating in the U-15 Football World Championship and Festival to be held in Baku have been determined.
elchi reports, citing FIFA, that the Azerbaijan national team has been placed in Group AF.
Our team will compete against Andorra, Australia, Haiti, Israel, and East Timor.
In total, 191 teams will compete in 32 groups in the tournament. The first matches of the competition will take place on October 24, and the final matches will be held on October 30.
In the tournament, teams will compete in an 8×8 format. The matches will consist of two 20-minute halves. Based on the results of the group stage, participants will be divided into six performance levels, and all teams will continue to compete until the final day of the tournament.
A total of 943 matches will be held within the framework of the competition. Most of the matches will be organized at the Hovsan Olympic Sports Complex, while the opening and final matches will be held at the Baku Crystal Hall.
It should be noted that the FIFA U-15 World Championship and Festival is being held in Azerbaijan for the first time. Footballers born in 2011 and 2012 will participate in the tournament.
