Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a Decision on amending the “Descriptions of uniforms for students of state general education institutions” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers’ Decision No. 96 dated March 17, 2022.
“Elchi” reports that, according to the Decision, the use of clothing elements that violate the uniformity of the established school uniform or are inconsistent with the secular principle of general education is not permitted.
During events related to the history, culture, and national-moral values of the Azerbaijani people, the use of national costumes or elements of national clothing is permitted by the decision of the school’s Pedagogical Council.
At the same time, parents or other legal representatives must ensure that their children (or persons under their guardianship or care) comply with the requirements regarding school uniforms.
According to the Decision, issues related to the compliance of students with the requirements of this document are resolved by the school’s Pedagogical Council.
The decision is to be posted on the school’s official website or information board within 5 working days from the date of its adoption.
