In the first eight months of this year, Azerbaijan exported 569.27 tons of tea to foreign markets, worth 5 million 2.93 thousand US dollars.
“Elchi” reports that this was noted in the State Customs Committee’s report.
Compared to the same period last year, tea exports increased by 12.10% in value and 15.80% in volume.
In the first 8 months of the current year, tea exports accounted for 0.02% of Azerbaijan’s total exports and 0.08% of non-oil sector exports.
During the reporting period, 9 thousand 457.38 tons of tea worth 56 million 802.97 thousand US dollars were imported into the country. Tea imports increased by 4.25% in value and 6.73% in volume compared to the same period in 2025.
In January-July 2026, tea imports accounted for 0.36% of the country’s total imports.
