The fake “international human rights defender” and former convict Kazim Abbasov, alias “David Seliverstov,” has declared that he will kill himself and cut his stomach open.
“Elchi” reports citing Musavat.com that he spoke with one of the human rights defenders over the phone.
He told the human rights defender, “I will cut myself, I will slice my stomach, and I will reveal my death certificate on live broadcast.”
“David Seliverstov” begged the human rights defender to help him prevent his exposure.
His pleas are not without reason. Kazim Elshan oglu Abbasov, who poses as a Jewish-origin “international human rights defender,” has been living as a fugitive abroad since leaving the country on August 3. Realizing the possibility of investigations by law enforcement agencies and that the net is closing in on him day by day, Kazim Abbasov has fallen into a full-blown panic and sees threats and suicide blackmail as his only way out.
In a series of investigative reports published by Musavat.com throughout August, the entire dark past and actions of the person hiding behind the identity of “David Seliverstov” have been revealed with facts:
Our investigations have revealed that the person presenting himself as an “international human rights defender” is actually Kazim Elshan oglu Abbasov, born in 1988, who has been convicted multiple times in the past. After being released from a penitentiary institution in 2022, he changed his name and surname to “David Seliverstov” to cover up his criminal biography.
Immediately after the first article about him was published on Musavat.com on August 3, he fled Azerbaijan. Following this, another lie by Kazim Abbasov, who claimed on social media and in certain circles that he was in Israel and holding meetings with international organizations, was exposed by Musavat.com. It turned out that he left Azerbaijan using his real general civil passport. While he claimed to be in Israel, it was revealed that the photos he shared were taken in Albania.
After this, Kazim Abbasov issued a statement claiming that “allegations are not evidence.” Shortly after his statement, court verdicts and indictments against him were submitted to our editorial office by people who had been harmed by his actions in the past. The documents on those cases clearly reflect his fraud, forgery, and document falsification schemes, where he abused the trust of citizens to misappropriate their money.
Today, the network of machinations built by this person, who deceives people by using the names of “international human rights defense,” the “Jewish community,” and various foreign foundations, is on the verge of total collapse.
Panicked that he will be handed over to the Azerbaijani side and held accountable following consecutive and documented exposures, Kazim Abbasov is now resorting to the last dirty tactic – suicide blackmail.
He begs human rights defenders on the phone to prevent his exposure, stating that he plans to divert attention with a “death certificate.” However, the facts and court documents show that for the recidivist Kazim Abbasov, who hides behind the name “David Seliverstov,” there is no turning back from this path.
