US Marine Corps personnel boarded the oil tanker “Celestial Sea” due to concerns that it might attempt to violate the US naval blockade against Iran.
“Elchi” reports that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has released information regarding this.
“This morning, US Marines boarded the Iranian-flagged commercial tanker ‘Celestial Sea’ in the Gulf of Oman. The tanker is suspected of attempting to violate the US blockade. After inspecting the ship and ordering the crew to change course, US military personnel released it,” the statement noted.
According to the Command, the US Armed Forces have redirected a total of 91 commercial vessels.
