Today, the State Examination Center (SEC) will hold the entrance exam (second attempt) for master’s degree programs at higher education institutions.
It was reported to elchi from the SEC that the exam will be organized in 7 cities and regions of the republic – Baku, Sumgayit, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Absheron, Mingachevir, and Lankaran, in a total of 92 buildings.
23 thousand 89 bachelors have submitted applications to take the exam. Of these, 21 thousand 372 will take the exam in the Azerbaijani section, and 1 thousand 717 in the Russian section. 15 thousand 293 of the bachelors are graduates of the current year, 7 thousand 796 are graduates of previous years, and 55 are foreign citizens.
23 bachelors with disabilities (visually impaired, cerebral palsy, hearing impaired, and others) will also participate in this exam. Special halls have been allocated for them to take the exam comfortably, and individual supervisors have been assigned to persons whose visual impairment is determined by an 81-100 percent impairment of body functions. Conditions have also been created for the entry and movement of bachelors with limited mobility into the building and hall. In addition, special training has been conducted for the supervisors assigned to participants with disabilities.
The exam starts at 10:00 in all buildings. The admission regime ends at 09:45. Participants arriving after this time are not allowed into the exam building.
In the master’s degree entrance exam, bachelors’ listening comprehension skills in a foreign language are also tested. The exam will begin with the audio playback of a listening text. Everyone must be in the hall 15 minutes before the start of the exam in order to prepare for the audio playback and ensure silence in the building.
The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes. 3 hours after the start of the exam, the time allotted for answering test questions ends, and the answer sheets are collected by the hall supervisor. After that, writing (essay) sheets are distributed to the participants. 30 minutes are given for writing the essays.
Exam results will be announced in 2 stages. Within 2-3 days after the exam, the results of closed-ended and open-ended questions with coded answers will be announced. The final exam score will be presented after the essay tasks are graded.
It is forbidden to bring mobile phones and other communication devices, electronic devices, calculators, electronic data carriers, books, notebooks, journals, notes, reference books, dictionaries, tables, bags, and other auxiliary materials into the exam building. All these hinder the efficient organization of the admission regime and its timely completion.
Bachelors must bring the following documents with them when coming to the exam:
– The original of the identity document;
– The exam admission ticket.
Persons who have discrepancies between the indicated documents or who do not have one of these documents will not be admitted to the exam.
