Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Central Asian countries increased by more than 50 percent last year.
According to elchi, President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
The head of our state emphasized: “Today, more than 400 companies with the capital of Central Asian countries operate actively in our country. In recent years, Azerbaijan has established joint investment funds with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The capital of each of these funds amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars.”
The President of Azerbaijan noted, first of all, the necessity of more actively using the opportunities of these investment funds for the implementation of joint projects, the creation of new production enterprises, and the expansion of industrial cooperation. “We should not only limit ourselves to increasing mutual trade, but we must also jointly invest, produce, and enter foreign markets,” he added.
