elchi reports that a precise date has not yet been set for the planned visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed “RIA Novosti” about this.
The Kremlin representative stated, “There is no exact date yet.”
On October 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov noted that “it is known to everyone that Pashinyan plans to visit Moscow or another city to meet with our president, but no concrete agreement has been reached yet.”
A day earlier, Pashinyan had a phone conversation with Putin. The Prime Minister congratulated the Russian President on his birthday and conveyed his best wishes.
On September 1, Putin met with Pashinyan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. During the conversation, the Russian leader once again urged the Armenian Prime Minister to make a decision regarding Armenia’s possible membership in the European Union.
