The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has summoned the Iranian ambassador to the ministry due to Tehran’s spread of disinformation regarding protest actions by students and school staff in the country.
“Elchi” Citing “France24”, this was stated in a declaration by French MFA spokesperson Pascal Confavreux.
“The ambassador was informed that the online dissemination of false content through the official accounts of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is completely unacceptable,” the statement emphasized.
He also noted that the summoning of the French ambassador to the Iranian MFA on October 6 was groundless.
“These inappropriate provocations must be put to an end,” Confavreux said.
Earlier, the French ambassador to Tehran, Pierre Cochard, was summoned to the Iranian MFA in connection with the assessment of the French authorities’ harsh measures against protesting students and school staff as a violation of human rights.
