He stated that since August 2026, the number of offenses has increased by 60% compared to the same period in 2025 (August-September). Against the backdrop of the created tension, the number of judicial staff in the city has been increased. Del Rio added that Ceuta’s problem is not judicial in nature, but rather “humanitarian, social, and political,” and that “the justice system cannot intervene to resolve this situation.”
