A US Air Force F-16 fighter jet has crashed at the Spangdahlem Air Base in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
“Elchi” reports that the Trierischer Volksfreund newspaper reported on the incident, citing several confidential sources.
According to preliminary information, the crash occurred while the pilot was attempting to land the aircraft. The pilot was able to eject, after which the fighter jet crashed onto a golf course between Binsfeld and Spangdahlem.
A squadron of F-16 fighter jets is stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base.
It should be recalled that in October 2019, another fighter jet crashed in the same area.
