During his speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, US President Donald Trump also touched upon the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
elchi reports that Trump stated that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, expressed positive opinions about his activities.
“The President of Azerbaijan told me that President Trump has worked miracles in six months, and no one even thought this would happen,” the US President noted.
Trump also mentioned that the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, emphasized the importance of his personal intervention in the process.
“The Prime Minister of Armenia stated that if President Trump had not personally gotten involved in this, this breakthrough would not have been possible,” Trump said.
