Political consultations have been held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
This was reported to elchi by the Azerbaijani MFA.
It was stated that the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister Fariz Rzayev, and the Czech delegation was led by Deputy Minister of the Czech Republic Maria Chatardova.
During the consultations, the current state and development prospects of bilateral Azerbaijan-Czech relations were reviewed, and an exchange of views took place regarding the agenda of cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and other spheres.
In addition, existing plans for expanding the legal-treaty framework between the two countries were reviewed. The parties focused on issues of mutual activity on international platforms, the development of cooperation within the framework of various international organizations, as well as mutual support for candidacies.
The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda. In this context, the other side was provided with detailed information about the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and the steps taken towards ensuring lasting peace, as well as the large-scale restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in the liberated territories.
During the meeting, the importance of further developing Azerbaijan-Czech relations based on mutual interest and trust, and continuing political dialogue and regular contacts was emphasized.
