The leadership of the Ministry of Defense got acquainted with the activities carried out at the forward operating base of the Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) company of the Military Police Department.
“Elchi” reports citing the MoD that Deputy Chief of the Main Department of Internal Security and Investigation of the Ministry – Chief of the Military Police Department, Major General Elgun Aliyev, reported to the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, on the activities of the military police, the forward operating base, and the organization of troop service.
It was noted that the measures implemented at the OCC base have been aligned with relevant NATO standards and are aimed at ensuring interoperability in peacekeeping operations.
The leadership, having familiarized themselves with the conditions created in the unit’s area, inspected the dormitory, sports and shooting ranges, training centers for engineering, reconnaissance, and driving preparations, as well as military equipment.
Then, the ministry’s leadership observed the combat training process for the first-level Self-Evaluation Exercise within the framework of NATO’s OCC Evaluation and Feedback program, which is planned to be held in October of the current year.
The Minister of Defense, Colonel General Z. Hasanov, gave relevant instructions to the responsible persons regarding the further improvement of the combat readiness, as well as the logistical support and social-living conditions of the military personnel.
In the end, a group of military personnel who distinguished themselves in service were awarded, and memorial trees were planted in the unit’s area.
