A 3.1 magnitude earthquake has occurred in southwestern Georgia.

elchi reports, citing the country’s Institute of Earth Sciences – National Seismic Monitoring Center, that the underground tremors occurred at 22:20 near the village of Mamishli, located 19 kilometers from the city of Dmanisi and 62 kilometers from Tbilisi.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 5 kilometers.

There is no information about damage or casualties.

It should be noted that about a thousand people live in the village of Mamishli, which is part of the Dmanisi municipality of Georgia. 99% of the village population are Azerbaijanis.
