During the period of January – July of this year, the volume of VAT refunded to consumers by authorized banks for goods purchased from persons engaged in retail trade and public catering activities within the country (excluding oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products), services in the fields of theater performances, film screenings, museum visits, and symphony orchestra concerts, as well as services provided by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice, and overnight stay and accommodation services provided by hotels located within the liberated territories, amounted to 122 million 83.6 thousand manats.

In addition, during the reporting period, the amount of VAT refunded from the state budget for goods purchased by foreign citizens for personal consumption within the country (“Tax free”) amounted to 5 million 248.1 thousand manats.
