Kazakhstan and China have signed agreements totaling $8.2 billion within the framework of an investment forum held in Almaty.
“Elchi” reports that the press service of the President of Kazakhstan announced this on its Telegram channel.
“Within the framework of the ‘Kazakhstan-China’ investment forum, 50 commercial documents totaling $8.2 billion were signed,” the statement said.
Within the framework of the bilateral agreements, the construction of electrolytic aluminum production plants and an accompanying wind power plant in the Abay region (East Kazakhstan), wind power plants with a total capacity of 450 MW in the Akmola region, as well as wood-chip board production enterprises in Semey (Semipalatinsk), the joint development of the project between JSC “Samruk-Energy”, “China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd.” and “SANY Renewable Energy Co., Ltd”, the implementation of projects in the automotive industry, the creation of a joint investment fund, etc. are planned.
