Today, within the framework of his official visit to Ukraine, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha.

It was stated that after the one-on-one meeting between the parties, discussions continued with the participation of expanded delegations.
During the meetings, issues on the agenda of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine strategic partnership, political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, energy, humanitarian relations, as well as regional and international security issues were discussed.
The important role of mechanisms such as political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, and the Business Council in expanding our partnership was noted.
Recovery trends observed in trade turnover were assessed positively, and an exchange of views took place regarding the further development of economic cooperation.
In the context of discussions on regional issues, it was stated that Azerbaijan supports the cessation of military operations in Ukraine and the resolution of the conflict through diplomatic means based on international law, and our country’s consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders was reaffirmed.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister expressed his deep condolences regarding the death and injury of Azerbaijani citizens in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov during military operations, offered condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Discussions were held regarding the humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine, including support exceeding 50 million US dollars since the beginning of the military escalation, reconstruction projects implemented in the city of Irpin, rehabilitation programs for Ukrainian children, as well as assistance provided in the field of demining.
During the meetings, a detailed exchange of views took place on other areas of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meetings, a press conference was held, where the ministers made statements and answered questions from media representatives.

Jeyhun Bayramov once again drew attention to the importance of stopping military operations as soon as possible and resolving the conflict through diplomatic means with strict adherence to the norms and principles of international law. Azerbaijan’s consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders was reaffirmed.
