Zelensky has named defense against missile threats the main priority against the backdrop of a powerful strike by the Russian Armed Forces.
“Elchi” reports that, following Russia’s powerful strikes on the country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on partners via his Telegram channel to immediately send anti-ballistic missiles to Kyiv.
According to the politician, on the night of July 30, the Russian Armed Forces launched strikes on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
The post states that more than 70 missiles, including a significant number of ballistic missiles, as well as over 280 attack drones were involved in the attack.
Zelensky wrote: “Defense against Russia’s missile threat… is a task that cannot be the responsibility of only Ukraine or only one country. All partners know how and in what way they can help.” He also thanked everyone currently helping Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian military forces had carried out strikes overnight on facilities in Ukraine involved in the production and delivery of missiles and drones.
