Türkiye is ready to do its part regarding the supply of defense industry products needed by Iraq.
“Elchi” reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this during a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaydi.
Noting that the trade turnover with Iraq last year was 17 billion dollars, R.T. Erdogan mentioned that they want to increase this figure.
He also stated that Iraq has undertaken the commitment to supply one million barrels of oil to Türkiye.
“The Prime Minister said: ‘We can provide oil to Türkiye, one million barrels. Do not be dependent on anywhere else.’ That is correct, there is no need to be dependent on anywhere else. We are neighbors. Hopefully, the supply of one million barrels of oil will meet our needs,” the Turkish President emphasized.
