President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer on October 3.

The head of state said that judo is one of the popular sports in our country that brings the most medals, emphasizing the medals won by our judokas in prestigious competitions.
Azerbaijani President touched upon the role of modern sports infrastructure created in our regions, as well as in the capital Baku, in the successes achieved in the field of sports.
Marius Vizer, expressing his gratitude to the head of state for the reception and the high-level organization of the World Judo Championship in Baku, conveyed his congratulations on the medals won by our judokas in various sporting events.
The guest thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his support in the development of judo in our country.
It was noted with satisfaction that Azerbaijan is an active member of the International Judo Federation, and views were exchanged on the prospects of successful cooperation between this organization and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
Finally, President Ilham Aliyev presented Marius Vizer with the Order of Friendship.
The guest expressed his gratitude for the high appreciation of his activities.
