Although thousands of kilometers separate Azerbaijan from the developing small island states, a common determination unites us to increase resilience to climate change.
elchi reports that this idea was stated in the address of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 2026 Pre-COP Leaders Event held in Fiji.
“We have always been in solidarity with developing small island states and will continue to support them in their efforts to achieve sustainable development and combat climate change,” emphasized the President of Azerbaijan.
