Rainfall in Baku Exceeds Monthly Norm – ACTUAL WEATHER

As of October 3, 11:00 AM, rainy and windy weather conditions are observed in most parts of the country, with intermittent heavy downpours and lightning.

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, which provided information to elchi, snow is falling in Griz, Khinalig, Gusar, and Shahdag.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 31 mm of precipitation was recorded, which constitutes 110% of the monthly norm.

Amount of the highest rainfall in the regions of the republic:

72 mm in Gabala (57% of the monthly norm), 56 mm in Lankaran (22% of the monthly norm), 50 mm in Saribash (Gakh) (41% of the monthly norm), 41 mm in Oghuz (41% of the monthly norm), 37 mm in Khaltan (76% of the monthly norm), 36 mm in Kishchay (Sheki) (41% of the monthly norm), 33 mm in Shahdag (52% of the monthly norm), 29 mm in Astara, 28 mm in Gusar (44% of the monthly norm), 27 mm in Khinalig (42% of the monthly norm), 27 mm in Zagatala (27% of the monthly norm), 25 mm in Sabirabad (61% of the monthly norm), 25 mm in Khizi (44% of the monthly norm), 22 mm in Griz (45% of the monthly norm), 19 mm in Balaken, 14 mm in Yardimli and Goychay, 12 mm in Gobustan, 11 mm in Ismayilli, 10 mm in Shamakhi and Guba, and 1-8 mm in other regions.

Maximum wind speed

Northwest wind is blowing in some places. The maximum wind speed is intensifying up to 23 m/s in Neftchala, 22 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, and 20 m/s in Shahdag.
