Over 91.1 kg of narcotic drugs were seized hidden among the combs inside live beehives in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari province, Turkey.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in the information published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey (DİN) on its “X” social media account.
“As a result of measures taken to prevent the trafficking and transportation of narcotic drugs, in coordination with the Hakkari Provincial Police Department and the Yüksekova Republic Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, a suspicious TIR was stopped by our personnel after approximately 1 month of physical and technical surveillance against individuals involved in drug trafficking,” the post read.
It was noted that during a thorough search of the TIR, a total of 91.1 kg of narcotic substances were seized, including 85.9 kg of skunk and 5.2 kg of powdered marijuana, hidden among the combs inside beehives containing live bees.
“3 suspects were detained.
No matter how different the methods of drug traffickers are for hiding and transporting, we decipher all methods and expose criminals one by one thanks to the precise work of our heroic police officers.”
