NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has described the presence of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems in Turkey as primarily a bilateral issue between Ankara and Washington.
elchi reports that Rutte stated this while answering a relevant question from a Greek journalist at the final press conference following the NATO summit in Ankara.
“This is primarily a bilateral issue between Turkey and the United States of America. As I understand it, this topic was also discussed during yesterday’s bilateral talks between the US and Turkish sides. Both countries are working on it. Therefore, I will refrain from commenting on this topic,” he said.
