elchi reports that this was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili, during a panel discussion at the “Allies in Ankara” forum held in Turkey.
According to her, the energy projects and transport corridors jointly implemented by the three countries have a completely different significance today.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that the current geopolitical context increases the strategic importance of the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region.
“Taking into account the Russia-Ukraine war and the events in the Middle East, the attitude towards the Black Sea region, the South Caucasus, and Georgia is changing,” Bochorishvili added.
The Minister also noted the growing role of the Middle Corridor, which represents an important geoeconomic and geopolitical space.
