US helicopter makes emergency landing in the Arabian Sea: 1 missing

The US Naval Forces Central Command reported that one of its helicopters made an “emergency water landing” in the Arabian Sea, three of the four crew members were rescued, and one is missing.

The statement says: “An ‘MH-60S Sea Hawk’ helicopter operating from the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush made an ’emergency water landing’ in the Arabian Sea.” The statement noted that “there is no evidence to suggest the incident was a result of hostile action,” and added that the three rescued crew members were taken to the aircraft carrier and are in good health.
The statement also noted that US Naval Forces teams in the area are continuing the search for the one missing person, and the cause of the incident is under investigation.
