A meeting was held with the members of the Azerbaijani national team who will participate in the European Youth Championship.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, the event was attended by the federation’s executive vice-president Rashad Rasulullu, presidential advisor Natig Bagirov, and the coaching staff of the national teams.
During the meeting, the federation leadership expressed their confidence in the athletes and their belief that they would perform successfully at the continental championship. The judokas were given recommendations regarding the upcoming competition, and the importance of competing with a sense of responsibility was emphasized.
It should be noted that the European Youth Championship will be held from June 29 to July 2 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. The Azerbaijani national team will be represented by 17 athletes (10 boys, 7 girls) in 12 weight categories in the individual competitions at the continental championship.
The team will also compete in the mixed team event on the final day of the tournament.
