The founding meeting of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council will be held in November.
elchi reports that Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli said this during his speech at the “German-Azerbaijani Strategic Partnership and Connectivity Conference 2026” held in Baku.
“President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Berlin in July was marked by high-level meetings and meaningful discussions. During the visit, a Joint Declaration on the strategic agenda for bilateral partnership was signed, and an agreement was reached on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council.
Together with our German partners, we are currently working to turn this political momentum into bankable projects and secure the financing required for their successful implementation. To advance these efforts, continue the specific initiatives currently under discussion, and hold the founding meeting of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council, we plan to visit Germany in early November of this year,” he noted.
