Zakharova: The EU does not know what to think about the issue of banning the entry of Special Military Operation (SMO) fighters into the EU.
elchi reports that European Union (EU) countries do not know what to think about the issue of banning the entry of Special Military Operation (SMO) fighters into the EU. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing.
“It has reached the point of openly paranoid proposals to impose an entry ban to the EU on all Russian citizens who have served in the Russian Armed Forces since the start of the SMO. They don’t know what to think. That is the problem,” the diplomat said.
Zakharova added that the EU’s sanctions against Russia are increasingly taking on an international dimension and harming other countries. According to her, Moscow does not accept such policies of European states. On June 15, the head of European Diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, announced that the European Commission had proposed adding the names of participants in the special operation to the EU’s blacklist, after which their entry into the EU would be banned. According to her, experts are considering the feasibility of implementing such measures.
