Kyiv is discussing possible ways to end the war with US President Donald Trump.
“Ukraine has strived for peace from the very first minute. We have already put forward dozens of diplomatic proposals on how to end this war with dignity, guarantee security, and prevent new Russian interventions. Currently, a dialogue is being held with President Trump and the US,” he stated.
According to Zelensky, there are concrete proposals that could bring peace closer. The first stage should be decisive measures on de-escalation.
“The energy sector, critical infrastructure, and our food exports must cease to be targets for Russia, and this will lead to corresponding steps on our part towards de-escalation,” Zelensky said.
He emphasized that necessary decisions are possible and Ukraine is ready to work on them. Zelensky is also ready to discuss this issue with partners in New York within the framework of the UN General Assembly.
