A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker was damaged by a projectile strike while exiting the Strait of Hormuz.
“Elchi” reports that the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced this on the “X” social network.
The ship’s captain stated that the tanker was hit by shrapnel from unknown projectiles. All crew members are safe, and no environmental damage has been reported.
The tanker will continue its journey to its next destination.
UKMTO has advised ships to exercise caution when passing through this route and to report any suspicious activity to the authority.
